June gloom, Arizona license plates, people named Schmidt — must be summer again in San Diego…
Summer along the 33rd also signals the return of our most excellent German-style Pilsner, Germans in the Desert!

Germans on Holiday (courtesy der Spiegel)
Named for our annual invasion of pale-skinned, blue-sock-and-sandal-clad friends from Deutschland, GitD is a great, light and refreshing beer with just a hint of oranges and lemonade courtesy of Meridian hops. Perfect for quaffing in 2 liter steins whether you’re sporting a Speedo on the sands of Encinitas, or sweating and posing under an Anza tree out in Borrego.
Germans in the Desert goes on tap today in the tasting room. Look for it to hit taps throughout San Diego in the next week or so.
Specialty Keg: Rosemary Rye Brown
Just for you folks who visit the tasting room this weekend, the HoBo has also tapped a special keg of Rosemary Rye Brown, a special version of our Pasha’s Rye Brown Ale spiked with locally grown Rosemary. If you like a bit of woodsy tingle on your tongue, you’re going to love this one.
There’s just one five gallon keg, so you’ll want to make sure to hit it sooner rather than later, or risk missing Rosemary altogether.
Friday Food Truck
Forget Meatless Mondays and Fish on Fridays! We’re carnivores here at Latitude 33, and to feed our meat needs, Oscar’s Meat Pies will be here from 3pm to 8pm on Friday serving up their most delicious meat-packed delicacies.
Growler Power Hour
Don’t forget that tonight from 3pm to 6:30pm is also our Growler Power Hour where you get $3 off all growler refills.
